CEOCFO: Mr. Janmohamed, what is Action Mail Services?

Mr. Janmohamed: Put simply, we process bulk mail. Any kind of mail.

CEOCFO: According to your site, it is data driven, intelligent direct mailing services. Would you explain the data driven aspect and why it makes a difference?

Mr. Janmohamed: Modern direct mail campaigns rely on automation and data. In fact, just about the entire mail processing lifecycle is largely data driven. From using data inputs to curate a reliable mail list to using data to encode and decode data from 2D barcodes in order to match mail inserts to their corresponding envelopes, we would never be able to achieve the level of speed and accuracy without being data driven.

CEOCFO: Would you tell us about how you put together an accurate, up to date list? What do you understand about getting that high quality and making it the most worthwhile way for your customers?

Mr. Janmohamed: We do not disclose how we source lists but we never compromise on quality of the list as our customer’s ROI depends on it. We win when our customers win.

CEOCFO: Would you tell us about direct mail today? How does it fit into effectiveness?

Mr. Janmohamed: Direct mail is a powerful weapon in the modern marketer’s arsenal. It cuts through digital clutter to deliver response rates up to 13 times higher than email alone.

CEOCFO: How do you work with your clients in developing what might be a good solution for them or do they come to you, knowing what they should be doing?

Mr. Janmohamed: We try and stay away from making any recommendation for any mail campaign. We do, however, provide a lot of guidance on USPS regulations and help our customers find ways to bring down the cost of postage.

CEOCFO: What is new in printing, bulk mailing and getting through some of the hurdles with the post office? How does it work today with the technology available?

Mr. Janmohamed: Aside from Informed Delivery, which was introduced in 2014, we haven’t seen a lot of new things from USPS. But we are excited about Informed Delivery and a little surprised that more people haven’t signed up for it. People can now sign up to receive an email that contains a thumbnail of each mail piece getting delivered to their mailbox each day giving advertisers more facetime for the products they’re advertising.

CEOCFO: How is business and what has been for COVID effect?

Mr. Janmohamed: Business has been good and COVID has offered unexpected opportunities. Organizations that were set up to process their own bulk mail are now shorthanded due to labor shortage. These companies have come to rely on us to get their mail out every day for their business continuity.

CEOCFO: What is the competitive landscape? Are there many companies in this arena today?

Mr. Janmohamed: We have a couple of competitors in the local area but it’s not apples to apples as we’re one of the largest mail houses in Central Florida and command a lion’s share of the market.

CEOCFO: How do you reach out to potential customers?

Mr. Janmohamed: We have thankfully never had to pursue work because we have always gotten more than we can handle. We have recently started working with a reputable Marketing company to expand our digital presence and for Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

CEOCFO: Why choose Action Mail Services?

Mr. Janmohamed: We are a reliable mail house that has been around 30 years. I once read a nice slogan from a Roofing company that read: “We do good work. For a profit if we can. For a loss if we must. But always good work.” At Action Mail, we have a similar mentality.
